I just wanted to update you on the latest Cobra job.
Thursday 9-10-09 we installed a Snake Bite tm Series blower on a 2003 SVT Cobra which had 110,000 miles on the odometer. It was tuned by a Diablo box tune, Cat Delete, 3.25 upper pulley only, stock size OEM belt, and a 90 mm Idler pulley (it is not necessary with this set up,but will work if you already have one installed). Stock fuel system, 90 degree heat, blower was a Stage 5 Combo (with TQ plate) OEM Throttle Body, fuel was 12.0 the tune was not altered in anyway -the car left with same tune in it that it arrived with. Data logging load at 2500 162 5600 180 MAFF volts 2500 3.45 5600 4.81
Spark at 2500 16 degree's 5600 18 degree's Power was 510 rwhp and 530 rwtq.
What I am most impressed by is the Torque. With the Snake Bite tm blowers we are able to deliver quicker boost rise with little to no belt slip. Spark at 2500 was 16 degrees and peaked at 180 which is a 91 Octane Tune. We could have bumped timing 5 degree's and seen higher numbers but with 110,000 miles, decided to play it safe. Car arrived with a 2.76 upper only and 450 hp at the tire.
I am finishing a Marauder Snake Bite tm Series this week and will inform you later with results.
